Melanie Gehringer:

My name is Melanie Gehringer and I am 18 years old from Chester

County, Pennslyvannia.  My hometown is Cochranville.  My major is Psychology because I am interested in becoming a guidance counselor or a school psychologist after I become a teacher.  My interest in Lycoming buddies

is that I enjoy to talk to people and make them feel better.  I joined Lycoming Buddies because I love to make people feel happy and am interested in

working with someone that could possibly be related to my career one day.

I want to feel part of my community by having a lyco buddy and be able to introduce them to events we have here.

I am a Biology major. I would love to be a part of Lycoming Buddies because

I enjoy helping others in the community and getting the opportunity to meet

new people. I love to talk and make friends. I hope to gain more experience

with children who have disabilities, so that I know if it is something I would

like to pursue after college.

Jena Hampton:

My name is Jena Hampton.  I am a freshman Business Management

major from Alexandria, PA.  I joined this club because I absolutely love

the warm feeling you get inside when you help someone or even make someone smile. I was apart of Big Brother's Big Sisters in my hometown

and this club is a little like that where I have my own buddy instead of a

little brother or sister. I find joy in seeing a young person's face light up

when you tell them what you'll be doing on your visit. When you get

down to it, I just love to make people feel special and help them in

any way possible.
